Bruery and Prairie

In this saison... errr sampler, we share two beers from Bruery Terreux and Prairie Artisan Ales.
  • Bruery Terreux Sour In The Rye (750 ml – 7.8% ABV): 99 on RateBeer. Sour/Wild Ale. Pleasantly sour with notes of tart cherry, rustic earth and vanilla notes from a year-plus of barrel aging. The rye contributes a full body not generally found in sour beers. Overall a well-rounded sour, tart, fruity, funky with great style / character.
  • Prairie Americana (500 ml – 7% ABV): 99 on RateBeer. Saison. Americana is brewed with coriander, Brettanomyces yeast, orange peel, lemongrass, and a little funk. You'll get tropical fruit aromas and hints of orange with a tart and dry finish.
  • Bruery Terreux Saison Rue Farmhouse Ale (750 ml – 8.5% ABV): 97 on RateBeer. Saison. Saison Rue is an unfiltered, bottle conditioned, Belgian/French-style farmhouse ale. Subtle and complex, with malted rye, spicy, fruity yeast notes, biscuit-like malt backbone and a slight citrus hop character. With age, this beer will dry out and will become more complex with earthy undertones from the contribution of a wild yeast strain.
  • Prairie Vous Francais (750 ml – 4% ABV): 96 on RateBeer. Saison. Vous Francais is a celebration of simple elegance. This farmhouse ale is brewed to be refreshing. Barley, oats, and wheat build a foundation for Saaz hops and brettanomyces bruxellensis to play. You’ll find this beer to be slightly tart and a touch hoppy.
